History

Built on top of experimentation

Since 2012, Deconstructeam has been working its way from game jam to game jam, looking for new narrative ideas and experimenting with game design: failing a lot. From putting you in the skin of a freelance torturer to solving a family crisis while dealing with an alien encounter, Deconstructeam aims to find unique ways of crafting interactive stories.

A shot for the team

One of our ideas, under the spotlight of the Ludum Dare 26 edition, achieved great acceptance among press and public. It was Gods Will Be Watching, a sci-fi surviving simulator focused on moral dilemmas. It was released on July 2014 and for team it meant finally achieving the dream of making a living out of our passion.

Back to failing

After Gods Will Be Watching, Deconstructeam went back to game jams and experimentation. Three years later, after many new failures, the team put together their most successful experiments and came up with The Red Strings Club: a cyberpunk narrative experience about fate and happiness which features pottery, bartending and impersonating people on the phone.
